ISIS posted video: Explosions, fatalities and injuries at Manchester Arena concert

The Greater Manchester Police have confirmed at least 20 are dead and hundreds are injured following explosions at the Manchester Arena where an Ariana Grande concert was being held.

The eTN Editor observed a very professional video appeared on TWITTER glorifying the terror organization Islamic State and included “Manchester” as an achievement along with other known terror attacks. Does this indicate here was an attack orchestrated by ISIS. The video disappeared after 10 minutes in Twitter suspending the account.

A large number of ambulances and police vehicles are at the scene following a number of unconfirmed reports of explosion-like noises. However, no reports explosions have been officially confirmed yet.

Several concert-goers reported hearing loud bangs which some have speculated may have been from the popping of large gas-filled balloons.

The panicked crowd was filmed fleeing the arena following the bangs. Greater Manchester Police responded to the scene, calling it a “serious incident” and are advisin people to stay away from the area.

Loud sirens can be heard throughout Manchester and a heavy presence of police and emergency vehicles are in the area.

Manchester Metrolink announced that no services would be running at the nearby Victoria Station due to an “ongoing police incident.”

“Emergency services are dealing with an incident near Manchester Victoria, resulting in all lines being closed,” National Rail said in a statement. “Trains are currently unable to run to/from Manchester Victoria. Some trains will be canceled throughout or start/terminate at alternative stations.”

Footage showed lines of ambulances heading towards the venue, while a witness, Suzy Mitchell, said it appeared the main surrounding road had been closed.

Oliver Jones, 17, was at the concert with his 19-year-old sister. He tweeted: “I was in the toilet and heard a loud bang just after the concert had finished and people had started to leave.

“The bang echoed around the foyer of the arena and people started to run. I seen people running and screaming towards one direction and then many were turning around to run back the other way.

“Security was running out as well as the fans and concert goers. Reports of blood and people injured.

“In so much shock and panic. You see this on the news all the time and never expect it to happen to you. I just had to run and make sure me and my sister were safe.”

Erin McDougle, 20, from Newcastle tweeted: “There was a loud bang at the end of the concert. The lights were already on so we knew it wasn’t part of the show. At first we thought it was a bomb. There was a lot of smoke. People started running out. When we got outside the arena there were dozens of police vans and quite a few ambulances.

A group of young men from Sheffield said they had seen at least five people covered in blood and others being carried out by bouncers. “Ariane Grande had just gone behind the curtain and the lights came up when there was this massive bang and a big cloud of smoke. I saw five people with blood all down them,” said one.

Sophie Tedd, 25, from Darlington, said the noise and smoke seemed to come from the tiered seating stage right. “We were sitting on that side then suddenly there was this big bang in the block next to us. Everyone started screaming and we nearly got trampled on. There was a burning smell.”

The Holiday Inn has around 50 kids from the concert where parents can check for their children. Taxis are giving people free rides home.
