Mbanza Kongo on the route of cultural tourism in Africa
TravelWireNews update:
The official of the Zaire Provincial Directorate for Culture justified his assertion that Mbanza Kongo possesses an exceptional and extraordinary historical and cultural heritage, which should possibly be listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
Luntandila Lunguana said so while addressing the theme “Heritage and sustainable tourism, in the case of the Historic Center of Mbanza Kongo”, in a lecture on 18 April, World Day of Monuments and Sites.
He stressed that as soon as the historic center of Mbanza Kongo is considered world heritage, Angola could be among the five African countries most visited by tourists.
